I taught a 10-week mural class with 11 students at The Sharon Academy in Sharon, Vermont. In these selected photos, students are posing with their self-portrait "bodies." I guided students through a process of cutting out their body shapes from plywood and then painting what they currently identify with on each. All of the students' paintings will be screwed to the exterior walls of the high school. I call this "humanizing" the skin of the school.

Visao Futuro Residency
This residency involved teaching University students and artists how to build and perform with giant puppets, masks and props using local materials. In 2 weeks we created a custom made environmental performance that traveled through a varied rural landscape under a full moon. This took place at Visao Futuro, Purangaba, Brazil

Stilt walking workshop
For several years I have taught the children of Hartland Vermont how to stilt walk. The kids range in age from 8-48. They experience a sense of accomplishment by overcoming their fear of falling. Many of them have walked in the 4th of July parade. I custom make the stilts to fit each stilt walker’s leg length.

Sharon Academy sculpture class
These are Sharon Academy high school students creating sculptures for a sculpture class I taught. For each project we focused on different design aspects of working in three dimensions. One project dealt with solid forms using cardboard, papier mache and sometimes branches, while the other focused on the play of planes and negative space using wood I had milled, round reed, and tissue paper.

Artward Bound- Holderness School
I have had two residencies (“Artward Bound”) at the Holderness School (high school). In this residency I was teaching shadow puppetry. I had the students break up into groups of 4-6. In 4 days they created shadow shows that were about certain environmental and social issues. Each group created their own scripts, storyboards, and puppets. They performed these pieces for the school.
